Chapter 3
Artificial Intelligence vs Human Intelligence

2 Minute Mini Rant #1
In the Red Corner: AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Is your business part of the synchronised error that filled 50% of the internet (June 2026) with AI generated content? Or the 75% of businesses whose online content is generated wholly or assisted by AI generation?
If you confess now you may be forgiven for being tempted: AI whispers in your ear that it is oh so easy.
AI is easy because it cheats. It copies:
It takes everything your competitors are doing – and does the same for you.
It can’t do anything else because your competitors are selling the same product to the same customers you are selling to.
The only real value of AI generated content is saving time; but that saving is wiped out because it adds no more saleable value to your business, nothing new for customers to buy into.
You joined a Race to the Bottom as bad as loss leaders and “buy one get one free” promotions.
Yes – they both have their place – but not on their own. Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity.
Time saved minus advantage lost = negligible value.
In the Blue Corner: HI (Human Intelligence)
The main advantage lost to AI is – You – AI doesn’t know you, so it can’t talk about you:
But You are the only difference between your business and your competitors.
If you are on the side of the Angels – amongst that 25% of businesses whose content is not generated by AI – how good is your content?
How exciting, how insightful, how interesting…
Time spent plus You = inestimable value.
Human is only different if a real writer – writing in the moment, in the ‘now’ makes you stand out from that 50 – 75% and is “better” than a further subset of the remaining 25% – the unknown subset that are doing anything at all – not just sitting there waiting for business to come to them.
So when you’ve spent a Pound that can no longer be spent elsewhere, chasing an AI algorithm to say exactly the same as a competitor using the same AI algorithm – you’ve wasted more than a Pound.
Compared to your competitors doing “Human” you are now in Minus Pound territory.
Stop digging that hole.
