He brought back the Sheffield Grand Prix in 2011, now in its 15th year under his management, (now a BC / National Circuit Series Elite Road Race Event) and becoming a major part of British Cycling‘s volunteer management structure, helping to organise the 2014 Tour de France Grand Depart in Yorkshire – and heavily involved in BC’s work for the return of TDF in 2027.
Simultaneously, Marc has worked with Dave for over 30 years; which has meant Blue Strawberry Elephant has always been there to support his dedication to cycling, and the development of an incredible community of other supportive businesses and projects.

The focus wasn’t to make the travel boxes look good but to show customers how the boxes should be packed, helping them to use it correctly and give Bike Box Alan another way to communicate – without human hands covering any of the parts demonstrated … and we still made them look good.
