But who’s counting.
Competition is a deadly sin. It’s based on jealousy, causes anxiety and invariably results in theft or criminal assault.
Competricianist is a job title we just made up to cover the doings and processes of someone who researches, discovers and negates the competition.
Mostly by doing nothing more effective than sticking pins in voodoo dolls of a competitor – raining on their parade – peeing on their cornflakes and generally making a nuisance of themselves.
Collaboscopy – is a word we just invented over a nice cup of tea, for something someone does when investigating in tiny detail how to create collaborations between companies, inventors, creatives, consultants and manufacturers to come up with one world beating idea or product instead of two competing ones – a bit like Concorde.
There’s a marvellous book called “1000 years of Annoying the French” by Steven Clarke, which proves what a great achievement of Collaboscopy Concorde really was.
Which would you rather spend your time doing?
By becoming a Collaboscopist (new title), you could make the world a better place. You could spread the word, not of peace and love etc, but of “look what we can do when we work together!”
Solving ways to work between nations – just as they had to do for the International Space Station.
Have you ever heard of any one the astronauts living on the ISS – from the US, Russia, Japan, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, South Africa, South Korea, Brazil, Turkey, Belarus, India, Poland or Hungary, (and breathe) EVER arguing about whose turn it is to empty the orbital dustbins?
No! Because someone did their Collaboscopy before it even took off!
