Except we’re really not – not really, not yet.

The head of a very good school and a very good client, once asked “Do you think the internet is now fully organic?” The question was part of a conversation about young people never knowing a world without it, and people who placed “friends” they had met on line in the same bracket as friends and colleagues who they met, physically, on a daily basis.

If already true, we decided that this was a good thing.

Example given: In the past people were persuaded to go to war against people they had never met, knew nothing about and who governments could demonise through printed propaganda.

If an eleven year old today has friends around the world who they have never met – but feel they know as well if not better than the eleven year old sat next to them in class, then maybe in another seven, ten or fifteen years they might refuse to go to war with them. Forcing governments to change their approach to international relations.

Not there yet – obviously – but one day.

SO IT’S UP TO YOU TO DO YOUR PART!

The better everyone’s website, the more integrated and useful their social media, the more trusting, capable, and connected the world will become.

There are millions of websites out there that aren’t worth the paper they’re not written on.

It’s bad for the environment because it creates the need for unnecessary satellites.

It’s bad for business because it’s a resource never fully utilised – the reason for that – just as the reason for social media not being fully integrated as part of the sales funnel, is TIME.
